I'm Stephen Loewinsohn—a musician, visual artist, and teacher in Oakland, California.
TEACHING
I’ve been teaching photography, filmmaking, and computer art at Bishop O'Dowd High School since 2022.
FILM & VIDEO
From 2020-2022 I captured aerial footage for Blindspotting on Starz.
In 2018, I released a short film called The Bridge and Tunnel Crowd — a story told entirely through aerial timelapse footage and scored with my own original music.
I love making short films and music videos.
PHOTOGRAPHY
This is the first photo I took, when I got my first camera in 1985.
I’ve been documenting life in The Bay as a professional photographer since 2010.
OTHER PROJECTS
When I’m not teaching, I still pursue my own creative projects.
COLLABORATIONS
I sometimes work with organizations like Oakland Soul and Children’s Fairyland to create original content.
